Endowment Plan
 
If you have an endowment you should have received a letter from your Endowment Provider providing you with an update on the progress of your Plan under three categories – Red/Amber/Green - depending on how likely your Plan is to repay the target number.

RED – This means that there is a high risk that your Plan may not pay out enough to cover the target amount

AMBER – This means that there is a significant risk that your Plan may not pay out enough to cover the target amount

GREEN - This means your plan is on target to pay out the target amount

If you have received either a Red or Amber letter there are many options available to you in order to make up the shortfall – Make changes to your mortgage, start an additional savings plan, vary your endowment policy.

You may also be wondering whether it is worth continuing with your present Plan at all.

It is important that you do not make these decisions without appropriate advice.

Should our advice be to surrender your Endowment plan we are able to help you make alternative arrangements for Life Insurance.

You may also feel that you were wrongly sold your Endowment plan in the first place - the Treasury Select Committee Report suggests as much as 60% of policies have been mis-sold – if this is the case we can confirm whether you have sufficient grounds for making a complaint, and if so, we can guide you through the complaint procedure.

Should a Compensation payment be due we will be able to advise you whether you should accept or reject the payment.

A number of companies/advisers are now imposing deadlines for a receipt of a complaint therefore it is important that you act quickly otherwise you may miss out.
